Free "On the Map" film screening Oct. 23

Photo of a loaf of challah bread.We will be sponsoring a free screening of award-winning director Dani Menkin’s latest film “On the Map” on Sunday, October 23 at 2 pm at the JCC of Syracuse. The film, part of this year's Syracuse International Film Festival, tells the story of the underdog ’76-’77 Maccabi Tel Aviv basketball team that defeated the Soviet Union in 1977 and put Israel firmly on the map. "People and Places of the Syracuse Jewish Community" free film screening Oct. 30

$10,000 World Series of Poker seat qualifier event Oct. 30 at Albany JCC

Tap dance classes starting up again Sept. 13

The weekly classes will be held on Tuesday evenings from Sept. 13 through Dec. 13, except for Oct. 4 and Oct. 11 due to Jewish holidays. The classes are open to anyone age 12 and older, and no prior dance experience is necessary. The cost is $5 per person each evening.   MORE >

Tzofim Friendship Caravan coming to the JCC July 28

The 2016 Tzofim Friendship Caravan will perform at the JCC of Syracuse on Thursday, July 28 at 7 p.m. Through song and dance, conversation and activities, the Tzofim Friendship Caravan hopes to warm your hearts and bring a piece of Israel to you.
