The Sam Pomeranz Jewish Community Center of Syracuse’s After School Program will hold its annual Ice Cream Social and Raffle fundraiser on Thursday, May 18 from 4-6 p.m. at the JCC on 5655 Thompson Rd. in DeWitt.

This springtime tradition is open to the public and everyone is invited. All proceeds will directly benefit the JCC’s After School Program which serves children in kindergarten through sixth grade.

“We are really looking forward to putting on this fun event again this year and celebrating spring with our program’s families and the community,” said Mick Hagan, director of children and teen services. “All the great support that we’ve received throughout the year has been wonderful. And we’re especially grateful for all of the local businesses who generously donate raffle items.”

The JCC’s After School Program serves over 130 families and children from fifteen different schools, including the Jamesville-DeWitt, Syracuse City and Fayetteville-Manlius districts, as well as private schools such as the Syracuse Hebrew Day School and The New School.
