Kids fitness and recreation classes start week of Dec. 5

Pre-Turkey Day vacation camp for children Nov. 23

Happy Thanksgiving.The JCC of Syracuse will hold a Pre-Turkey Day vacation camp for children in grades K–6 on Wednesday, Nov. 23 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the JCC. Lots of fun activities are planned to make the start of this school break a blast. Half-day options and early/late care to extend the day from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. are also available. Movin' & Groovin' Fitness class for children starts Oct. 31

The five-week class will be held on Mondays from 4:30–5 p.m. and run through Nov. 28. Movin' & Groovin' Fitness is designed to get kids moving and having fun to the high-energy sounds of upbeat music. JCC membership is not required, however members receive a discount.   MORE >

New Kidz 'N Motion classes are free in October

JCC concludes one of its most successful summer camps

Hundreds of campers ranging in age from infants to school-age children to teens attended a total of 2,500 camper weeks during the eight weeks of camp which ran June 27 – August 19.  MORE >

"So-Long Summer" vacation camp starts Aug. 22

Tzofim Friendship Caravan coming to the JCC July 28

The 2016 Tzofim Friendship Caravan will perform at the JCC of Syracuse on Thursday, July 28 at 7 p.m. Through song and dance, conversation and activities, the Tzofim Friendship Caravan hopes to warm your hearts and bring a piece of Israel to you. JCC pool season and swimming lessons start May 28

JCC of Syracuse to hold annual Purim Carnival March 20

Purim Carnival logo.A fun-filled day of games, prizes, food and more will once again highlight this year’s JCC of Syracuse Purim Carnival. The annual family-oriented event will be held on Sunday, March 20 from noon to 4 p.m. at the JCC. There will be plenty of interactive and entertaining activities for preschool and school-age children and their families. Admission is free and open to the public.   MORE >

Donations of gently used books sought for fundraiser

Books suitable for all ages and in generally good condition may be dropped off at the JCC of Syracuse on 5655 Thompson Rd. in DeWitt through Friday, March 18. Bricks 4 Kidz after school program at the JCC starts Jan. 11

Guitar lessons for children starting up Jan. 5

The small group lessons for children in grades K-6 of all skill levels will be held on Tuesdays at 4 p.m. The 8-week session costs $160 per child. Registration is required.   MORE >

Openings still available for free "healthy lifestyles" class for pre-teens

Photo of a pre-teen girl running.The JCC of Syracuse continues to enroll fifth and sixth graders in its weekly Healthy Bodies class held on Tuesdays from 3:15-4:15 p.m. The coed classes, part of the JCC's After School Program, are designed to engage pre-teens, or “tweens,” to help them acquire and maintain healthy lifestyle habits through good nutrition and fitness. This free program, funded by a grant from the Jim and Juli Boeheim Foundation, runs through May.  MORE >

Drop-N-Shop Kids Day Out will be held on Sunday, Dec. 21, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the JCC of Syracuse. This mini half-day vacation camp is designed to get children—ages 3-12—out of the house and engaged in lots of fun activities while their parents get to spend five hours doing what they need or want to do.    MORE >
