JCC community menorah lightings start Dec. 12

Image of a menorah.Come celebrate Chanukah at the JCC's weekday community menorah lightings starting on Tuesday, December 12 at 4 p.m. The outdoor lightings at the JCC will continue at 4 p.m. Wednesday through Friday of that week, and the following week from Monday, December 18 through Wednesday, December 20. JCC summer camp receives naming gift

Cover of the JCC's 2017 Camp Guide updated with the camp's new name, the JCC Camp Joe and Lynne Romano.The JCC of Syracuse has received a generous naming gift for its summer camp, thus prompting the renaming of the camp to the JCC Camp Joe and Lynne Romano. JCC to hold annual Purim Carnival March 12

The annual family-oriented event will be held on Sunday, March 12 from noon to 4 p.m. here at the JCC. Donations of gently used books sought for fundraiser

JCC concludes one of its most successful summer camps

From left, Shani and Talya were this year's JCC Israel scouts who helped out during all eight weeks of Camp Rishon.The JCC of Syracuse recently wrapped up perhaps its most successful Camp Rishon summer day camp. Hundreds of campers ranging in age from infants to school-age children to teens attended a total of 2,500 camper weeks during the eight weeks of camp which ran June 27 – August 19.  MORE >

Bricks 4 Kidz class for preschoolers begins Jan. 8

Dec. 21 "Drop-N-Shop" to give parents four hours of holiday shopping without the kids

Image of snowflakes falling from a cloud.For parents who want to get some last-minute holiday shopping done or have other plans that don't include their children, the JCC's upcoming "Drop-N-Shop" may be just what they need. Drop-N-Shop Kids Day Out will be held on Sunday, Dec. 21, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the JCC of Syracuse. This mini half-day vacation camp is designed to get children—ages 3-12—out of the house and engaged in lots of fun activities while their parents get to spend five hours doing what they need or want to do.    MORE >
