JCC community menorah lightings start Dec. 26

Come celebrate Chanukah at the weekday community menorah lightings starting on Monday, Dec. 26 at 4 p.m. at the Sam Pomeranz Jewish Community Center of Syracuse, 5655 Thompson Rd., DeWitt. The outdoor lightings at the JCC will continue that week on Tuesday, Dec. 27, through Friday, Dec. 30, at 4 pm. Rabbi Daniel Fellman of Temple Concord along with children from the JCC’s After School Program will lead the lighting of the menorah Dec. 26 through Dec. 29. On Friday, Dec. 30 Rabbi Evan Shore of Shaarei Torah Orthodox Congregation of Syracuse will be on hand to lead the lighting ceremony. The menorah lighting events are free and open to the public.
