Jewish Genealogical Society: A Family Tree of the Jewish People 

The Jewish Genealogical Society of Central New York (JGSCNY) will hold an in person meeting at the JCC in the lounge at 1:30 P.M. on Sunday, September 11th. They will present Celeste Moore, who is the Branch Manager at the Paine Branch Library in Eastwood. She will present “Exploring the 1950 Census”. 

As Celeste has mentioned, genealogists have long awaited the release 

Jewish Cuenealogy 

of the 1950 census. Earlier this year, this important resource was made available for family history researchers. The talk will explore the history of the decennial census, what type of information is included in these records and how to begin your own 1950 census research. Previously, Celeste worked as a librarian in the Local History & Genealogy Department of OCPL. She is from Central New York. JCC Summer Ballet

Pool Reopens May 28. The JCC will be reopening their pool on May 28th. This includes pools of large and small sizes and an outdoor heated pool. Whether swimming for exercise or pleasure, make the most of your JCC membership by using the pool to its fullest this summer.Swim lessons will be available in June. Registration opens May 1st. JCC membership is not required to take swimming lessons, however members receive a discount and priority.Pool
